The Hall Family Center for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes

Overview

The Hall Family Center for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Kravis Children’s Hospital at Mount Sinai is a state-of-the-art center that is pioneering clinical care and research focused on childhood endocrine conditions such as diabetes, growth, and thyroid, pubertal, adrenal and weight disorders. Our team of professionals is devoted to delivering individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate expert care to children with diverse endocrine needs.

A Gift of Love

Inspired by his niece, Emma, a patient at the Center, Mr. George E. Hall provided generous gifts from the George E. Hall Childhood Diabetes Foundation for the benefit of Mount Sinai's Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes.

Mission

  • To provide comprehensive, compassionate, patient-centered, team-driven, state-of-the-art clinical care for infants, children, and adolescents with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
  • To provide education to patients, parents and the greater community
  • To provide educational services for health care professionals in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes.
  • To be at the forefront of research in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes in a multidisciplinary fashion, from clinical research to basic laboratory research, in collaboration with colleagues at Mount Sinai and elsewhere in pediatric and in adult medicine.

Enormous strides have been made in the field of pediatric diabetes — from being a virtual death sentence to a manageable, chronic condition. We look forward to a time in the not-too-distant future when children with diabetes are no more troubled or compromised by their condition than are their peers with minor illnesses — a visit to the doctor, a course of therapy, followed by freedom from the condition.

We are also treating a host of endocrine disorders through early screening and utilizing breakthrough growth hormone therapy that enables children to develop normally.

The Hall Family Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Center at Mount Sinai is at the forefront of clinical care, education, and research.
